After one team has cancelled its participation, the premilary round in Bonn at the German Small Field Masters was just played with three teams. Hanover, who were second best in the Northern region, faced the Southern German champion from Frankfurt. Hanover got the lead twice in first half, but two lucky goals made Frankfurt lead at the halftime break in a very levelled match.
The second half was a great fight, in which Hanover tied the score and lead by two, got tied again, lead again and got tied again to a 6-6 score. Hanover did not even struggle when Frankfurt lead 7-6 again and scored three goals in a row by themselves. Though Frankfurt scored the 9:8 goal in the last minute of the match in powerplay, they did not manage to get back in the match again.
This match was a very stunning one with two great teams. A great start for that day!
