If you want to sum up this match in one set, you may do it by saying "Germany was too weak and too unlucky to have a chance". The match started with Germany wasting a penalty shot for high sticking before they caught two goals in the first period. Especially in second third, there was a somehow-goddish goalie defending the Denmark goalcage, who managed to keep every shot even if he could not see the ball - incredible perfomance by Mr. Fast (his real name!). In third period, Germany could not score at their second penalty shot (entering the goalkeepers zone). Denmark just was too good that day, but no need to worry for the home guys, who really showed a fine improvement compared to the 2004 World Championships in Switzerland.
