HC Rychenberg - Wiler/Ersingen 1:11 (0:5, 0:2, 1:4)

I expected this match to be the highlight of my Switzerland tour. Rychenberg was fourth in the league, whereas Wiler-Ersingen was the Swiss champion and again leading the Swiss championship. But it turned out to be something completely different.
You cannot say that Rychenberg played very bad in the first some ten minutes, but every chance Wiler-Ersingen got they simply took - and lead 3-0 after seven minutes. Everything the hosts did seemed to get wrong that day, so that they were 0-5 behind after twenty minutes. They did better in second half but nevertheless got two more. Early in third half, Wiler-Ersingen raised the lead to nine. Matthias Hofbauer wasted a penalty shot in 45th minute, but therefore score in powerplay immediately afterwards: 0-10! With about two minutes left on the clock, Radim Cepek made Rychenberg's goal of the day. Wiler-Ersingen was credited with a second penalty shot at 59:59 - this time they made it and made the final 1-11 score.
Rychenberg really had a match full of bad luck, which made it quite easy for a great Wiler-Ersingen team to take three more points in the Swiss championship.
