Especially in first period, the definite underdog Bremen team showed a fantastic performance when they put German champion Weißenfels under huge pressure and had several chances. The first fourty minutes were a great floorball fight dominated by both goalies, Bremen Jan Ehmann and Swiss Armando Crottogini for the guest team. At the beginning of third half, Bremen was slightly too unconcentrated to keep the fight on, so that Weißenfels decided the match by four goals in five minutes. A final remarkable fact of the match was that both teams wasted a penalty shot, Bremen by Janik Pfeiffer in the first, Weißenfels by Mikko Reuna in the third period.
